My mother who is in the later stages of dementia/ahlzeimers is covered by medicaid in New York City. My father is determined to be her care giver untill he dies or becomes incompassitated himself. If my father passes before my mother, will I be able to move her to florida, where I live, without disruption to her benefits?

The short answer to your question is "No".

Every state's Medicaid program is separate and a recipient in one state can not have Medicaid coverage "transferred" to another state.  When a Medicaid recipient moves to another state they must re-apply in the new state.  And don't forget to contact the old state and let them know of the move.
